Myofascial Release is gentle, effective manual therapy performed by a John F. Barnes trained therapist. It provides real and lasting results different from any other therapy you have experienced. With MFR, your treatments will address the cause of your limitations, not just treat the symptoms.

Traditional medicine and therapy treat pain and emotional and physical dysfunction with medications and other modalities like ice/heat, exercises and ultrasound. Myofascial release treats the whole person as an individual and uses proven techniques to allow your body heal itself.

I am an Occupational Therapist from Sarasota, FL and received my degrees from The University of Louisiana and Louisiana State University. I am Board Certified as a lymphedema therapist as well as holding a certification in Ergonomic Assessment. I have practiced as an OT for over 10 years and my drive to find the best possible treatment for clients led me to John Barnes Myofascial Release. Application of these techniques has helped me to treat clients in the field of oncology, edema and wound care and pain management. I have also volunteered as an OT in Cambodia and with the Junior League of Sarasota where I was recognized with awards for service. Giving back to the community and caring for others is my passion, so John Barnes Myofascial Release has been a natural transition.

Jennifer Kirsch

I am Jennifer Kirsch, but you can call me ‘Kirsch’, I have found amazing Jennifer’s along my journey in life, so I go by my last name! I am a native Floridian and currently live in Tampa Palms with my daughter and husband. My love of Yoga began in my mid twenties and I eventually took the leap into being an instructor including certifications from ASFA and Les Mills for Yoga. I continue to practice, learn, and explore all things that honor the mind-body connection. I became a patient of Myofascial Release after I was in a car accident four years ago and I’m still in a state of healing. I understand chronic pain, and realize the priority of mental health. I also empathize with anyone who just wants to feel better and stronger in their own bodies and mind. I look forward to teaching you MFR inspired ways of caring for yourself, body and mind, and I hope to see you on the mat!
